AI website builder

Picking an AI website builder comes down to three questions the marketing pages rarely answer together: what the free tier really includes, whether hosting and a domain come with it, and whether you can take money. Below are four tools priced from their own pages on 2026-07-29, sorted by which of those you actually need.

What each one costs, and what comes with it

Free tier, cheapest paid plan, and whether hosting and selling are included. Wix and Framer prices are the yearly-billing figures shown on their own pricing pages.

ToolFree tierCheapest paidHostingSell products
Wix$0 — hosting, editor, 1000s of templates, no card$17/mo LightIncluded on every plan, free tier includedFrom $29/mo Core (basic ecommerce + payments)
Framer$0 — 500 trial credits, free Framer domain, 1GB bandwidth$10/mo Basic — 1,000 credits/moIncluded — global CDN, 20 locationsNo built-in store (CMS only)
10WebNo $0 plan listed — "start free" is a trial$10/mo AI Starter — 1 site, 100 credits/moIncluded — 10Web hosting, 99.99% uptime, WordPressEcommerce dashboard + 10Web Payments
uooki$0 — 100 credits (one-time)$9.9/mo billed yearly ($12.9 monthly)Publishes to a real URL; no custom domain or CMSNo storefront — build the app, not the shop

Prices read from the vendors' own pricing pages on 2026-07-29 (Wix, Framer, 10Web, uooki). Vendors change pricing without notice — check the linked pages before you buy.

"Builder" and "generator" are not the same product

The two words get used interchangeably and they describe different things. A website builder is a platform: it hosts the site, registers the domain, manages content, handles the store, and increasingly generates the first draft from a prompt. You are buying the place the site lives. A website generator makes the thing — you describe it, it produces it — and where it lives afterwards is a separate question.

That distinction decides your shortlist faster than any feature table. If you need a brochure site that must be live on your own domain, take payments, and be editable by a colleague next year, you want a platform: Wix, 10Web or Framer. The AI is a nice on-ramp, but the hosting, CMS and store are the product.

If what you need is a thing that does something — a calculator, a dashboard, an internal tool, an interactive demo — the platform is overhead. uooki sits here: you describe it in a sentence, it writes and runs real code, and you get a working app you can publish to a URL and share. There is no CMS to learn because there is no template to fill in.

"Completely free" — what that actually buys

Four tools, four different meanings of free. This is the single most misleading word in the category:

Wix Free — genuinely free, with a Wix address

$0 with no card, and it includes hosting, the editor and the template library. The catch is the address: a free plan means a Wix-branded URL, and the free domain for a year starts at the $17/mo Light plan.

Framer Free — free to publish on a Framer domain

$0 with 500 credits to try, a free Framer subdomain and 1GB of bandwidth. Enough to put a real page online; the custom domain arrives with Basic at $10/mo.

10Web — free trial, not a free plan

The pricing page has no $0 row. "Get started for free" is a trial, and the cheapest ongoing plan is AI Starter at $10/mo (or $120 for 12 months against a $240 list price).

uooki Free — free to build, not a hosting plan

$0 with 100 credits (one-time). That is sized to build something real and judge the output, not to run a site indefinitely. uooki is not selling you hosting, so "free forever" is not a promise it makes.

The honest answer on "free AI website builder with hosting"

Two of the four give you this outright: Wix Free and Framer Free both put a real page on the internet at $0, on their own subdomain, with hosting included. If your requirement is "online, free, today, and I do not care about the address", that is the answer and you can stop reading.

What no free tier gives you is a custom domain. Every platform here treats the domain as the first paid step — Framer at $10/mo, Wix at $17/mo, 10Web bundling one up to $30 in value with its $10/mo plan. That is consistent enough across the category to treat as a rule rather than a coincidence: free gets you a subdomain, your own name costs money.

And nobody gives you a free store. Selling is the clearest paywall in this comparison — Wix gates basic ecommerce and payments behind Core at $29/mo, and 10Web puts its ecommerce dashboard on paid plans. Searches for "free ecommerce AI website builder" do not have a happy answer, and a page that pretends otherwise is selling you something.

Where uooki fits — and where it does not

uooki is not a hosting platform and this page is not going to pretend it is. It has no custom domain support, no CMS, no storefront and no WordPress. If your brief is "a shop", "a site my client can edit", or "must live on our domain", the three platforms above are built for that and uooki is the wrong purchase.

What uooki does that they do not: you describe what you want in one sentence and it writes and runs actual code, so the output can be genuinely interactive rather than a page assembled from blocks. A pricing page with a working monthly/yearly toggle, a dashboard that filters, a calculator that calculates — those are applications, and template-first builders reach for a plugin where uooki just writes it. When it is done you can publish it to a real URL and send that link.

The practical read: platforms win when the site is the product. uooki wins when the site is a thing that does something. Plenty of people need both, and they are cheap enough to not be an either/or — $0 to start on either side.

Frequently asked

What is the best AI website builder?
There is no single answer, because the category splits. For a hosted business site with a domain and a store, Wix (free tier, $17/mo Light, ecommerce from $29/mo Core). For WordPress specifically, 10Web from $10/mo with hosting bundled. For design-led marketing sites, Framer from $10/mo. For an interactive app rather than a brochure site, uooki from $0. Pick by whether you need a platform or a product.
Is there a completely free AI website builder?
Wix and Framer both have real $0 plans that include hosting and let you publish on their subdomain — Wix needs no credit card. 10Web lists no $0 plan; its free start is a trial. uooki is free to start with 100 one-time credits but is not selling hosting. In every case a custom domain is the first paid step.
Which AI website builder includes free hosting?
Wix includes hosting on every plan including the free one, and Framer includes CDN hosting from its free tier up. 10Web bundles its own managed WordPress hosting with paid plans from $10/mo. If "free hosting" is the requirement, Wix Free and Framer Free are the two that satisfy it literally.
Can I build a free ecommerce site with AI?
Not on a free plan, at least not among these. Wix puts basic ecommerce and payments on Core at $29/mo; 10Web includes an ecommerce dashboard and payments on its paid plans; Framer has no built-in store at all. Building the storefront is not the expensive part — taking money is, and every platform prices it accordingly.
What about a free 3D AI website builder?
Framer and dedicated 3D tools are where this category actually lives; a generic AI builder will hand you a WebGL scene that looks impressive on a laptop and struggles on a mid-range phone. uooki can write 3D code because it writes real code, but test one effect on a real phone before you build a page around it.
Is an AI website builder cheaper than hiring someone?
For a standard brochure or shop site, comfortably — $0 to $39/mo against a project fee. The costs that surprise people are the ones outside the subscription: the domain, the payment processing fees, and your own time on the revision rounds, which is the real expense at every price point in this table.
