GPT Image 2

OpenAI

uooki's default image model — the one you get when you don't name one. OpenAI's flagship image model. Best at legible text inside images. Treats reference images as a soft style hint.

Using GPT Image 2 in uooki

uooki has no model picker. You name the model in the conversation and the agent routes to it — “draw the packaging mockup with GPT Image 2” is the whole interface. Common spellings and older ids resolve to the same model, so you do not have to match our internal naming.

Leave the model out and the agent picks one for you based on what you asked for. Naming it is for when you have a reason to — this page is about those reasons.

What it is good at

  • Images with readable text: poster headlines, infographic labels, button copy inside a UI mockup
  • Icons and logos, where clean strokes matter more at small sizes
  • A starting point when you don't know which model you want — it's the default, so it costs you no decision

Where it is not the right pick

It treats a reference image as a style hint rather than a hard constraint. If you need the same subject to survive across a series of images, Nano Banana holds it tighter.

When to reach for something else

  • Nano Banana

The same subject has to survive across a whole series of images, not just look right once.

  • Qwen Image 2.0

The text in the image is Chinese, Japanese or Korean.

  • Nano Banana Pro

The brief is long and specific and you need every clause honoured.

Specifications are read from uooki’s model registry, not written by hand — if the registry changes, this table changes with it.

Model id

What uooki calls upstream when you pick GPT Image 2. You never need this to use it — it is here so the vendor name and the actual model are unambiguous.
